Learn Node.js
Node.js runs JavaScript on the server, so the language you already use in the browser can answer requests, talk to a database and send email. This path builds one Express app piece by piece: how a request finds the right code, what runs in between, and how to keep the code organised as it grows.
Written so far#
Read these in order. Each one builds on the app from the one before.
Where the backend topics live#
Some backend topics are taught better on their own paths, with diagrams and numbers, than as a Node.js page. Start here for those.
Being written#
The rest of the path is planned, and each chapter is listed in the sidebar with a "Coming soon" mark until it is ready: fundamentals, async programming, REST APIs, error handling, validation, authentication and authorization, testing, WebSockets and deployment.
