In an occurrence that at the end of the day conveys ladies’ security to the front line, a lady who had gone to the Capital looking for an occupation was purportedly assaulted by a driver in South Delhi’s Moti Bagh on late December 14 night.
The lady, 20, was sitting tight for a taxi close to All India Institute of Medical Sciences when the driver moved toward her and offered her a lift in an auto bearing a Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) sticker to Noida at around 10pm.
The casualty got into the auto just to be professedly attacked. When she challenged it, the driver ceased the vehicle in Moti Bagh and assaulted her.
Having perpetrated the wrongdoing, the driver evaded deserting the taxi. The occurrence occurred on the fourth commemoration of the notorious Nirbahaya gangrape case.
After the assault, the lady drew closer a PCR vehicle, which took her to the closest police headquarters where she documented a grumbling. Later, the lady was sent for a restorative examination.
In the interim, the driver has since been captured and the auto, a SX4, has been seized. The vehicle was observed to shoulder a sticker of Ministry of Home Affairs. The examination has proposed that the auto could likewise have a place with a barrier officer. The police are as yet testing the case.
